Bye Aerospace Announces Strategic Advisory Council
Denver, Colorado – Bye Aerospace, Inc. has announced the formation of a Strategic Advisory Council. Initial members of the Council are John Brown, Partner with Sandia Capital Partners; Charlie Johnson, former Cessna executive and President of Aviation Technology Group; John Plaza, President and CEO of Imperium Renewables, Inc.; Gregg Williams, President and CEO of Williams International LLC; Jennings “Jay” Newcom, a Partner at Denver-based law firm Davis Graham & Stubbs; and Julien Porcher, an executive at EADS, based in Paris, France.
George Bye, CEO of Bye Aerospace, said the Strategic Advisory Council will provide critical input to the company’s ambitious growth and development plans. “These individuals are truly the leaders in their respective fields,” he said. “We are fortunate to have the top experts in general aviation, biofuels production, investment banking, aviation law and small gas turbine engines.”
Brown, who also serves on the Bye Aerospace Board of Directors, said the timing is ideal for industries such as aviation to be incorporating clean energy concepts. “Despite the volatility of energy prices over the past year, clean energy remains a key component of the solution to future economic recovery,” he said.
Johnson said he has known Bye for many years. “I respect George’s leadership in product and technology innovation, and his entrepreneurial spirit in this new venture,” Johnson said. “I look forward to being actively involved in advancing highly efficient new technology for business aviation.”
Plaza said he shares Bye’s passion for applied science. “Bye Aerospace is developing new platforms in aviation with vital, new alternative energy features, and will be setting the bar for the future of aviation.”
